Duties & Responsibilities
- Advise and support HPC users on scheduling, compute, storage and access issues.
- Troubleshoot job failures, scheduler errors and performance concerns.
- Monitor system health, queues and service availability for stable operations.
- Conduct security audits, configure firewalls and perform maintenance activities.
- Review and recommend AI technologies for the School's AI-empowered initiatives.
- Provide hands-on data centre infrastructure operations and consultancy support to students and faculty.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, AI Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or related discipline.
- At least 3 years' post-qualification work experience, preferably in higher education.
- Knowledge of Linux administration, HPC job schedulers, cloud computing, containerization, Python or related technologies.
- Strong English and Chinese communication skills to support diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- High proactiveness and enthusiasm for HPC operations in large organisations.
Appointment
- Full-time, 2-year contract (renewable) with contract-end gratuity
