Duties & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement mathematical and computational models to simulate infectious disease transmission dynamics and intervention strategies.
Work with epidemiological, surveillance, demographic, and climate datasets from IVI's global network of field sites.
Incorporate climate change variables and sociodemographic factors into disease modeling frameworks.
Collaborate closely with research scientists and the biostatistics team at IVI.
Lead research projects and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.

Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related quantitative field.
3-5 years of experience in mathematical modeling and/or statistical inference for infectious disease epidemiology.
Expertise in study design and formulation of mathematical or computational disease models.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, or C++.
Experience working with diverse epidemiological, surveillance, demographic, and climate datasets.
PhD in a relevant discipline is desirable but not required.

Contract — one-year temporary or two-year fixed-term basis, with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
