Duties & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement mathematical and computational models to simulate infectious disease transmission dynamics and intervention strategies.
Work with existing epidemiological, surveillance, and climate databases from global field sites spanning 20 years of research.
Incorporate climate change variables and sociodemographic factors into disease modeling frameworks.
Collaborate closely with research scientists and biostatistics teams at the partner institute.

Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related quantitative field (PhD desirable but not required).
3-5 years of experience in mathematical modeling and/or statistical inference for epidemiological studies of infectious diseases.
Proven track record of leading research projects and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, or C++.
Expertise in study design and formulation of disease models with experience integrating diverse datasets.
Experience working with epidemiological, surveillance, demographic, and climate data is essential.

One-year temporary or two-year fixed-term contract, with possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
