Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend features for the UpCareer platform, dashboards, and reporting services.
Design and implement APIs to integrate AI recommendation models into the platform.
Build backend functionality within the BLADE gamification platform, including gameplay data capture and scoring mechanisms.
Develop and maintain data schemas for demographic, behavioural, attitudinal, and in-game performance data.
Support data cleaning, mining, and analytics activities for AI model development.
Collaborate with front-end developers on API specifications and resolve integration issues.
Conduct testing, debugging, and technical documentation of backend systems.
Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of platform infrastructure after deployment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (final-year students considered).
Understanding of database design principles, including relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices.
Strong problem-solving ability and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
Experience with Python and API development frameworks such as Flask.
