Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research in embodied AI, medical robots, or related areas such as control, autonomy, robot learning, and healthcare applications.
- Hold an appointment in an appropriate academic department and contribute to teaching and mentoring.
- Participate in the Cheng Kar-Shun Robotics Institute's research and collaborative initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field by the appointment date.
- Demonstrate outstanding research expertise in embodied AI, medical robots, control, autonomy, robot learning, physical AI, or surgical/rehabilitation/healthcare robots.
Appointment
- Full-time substantiation-track faculty positions at Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor ranks; Assistant Professor appointments are initially on a three-year contract with gratuity upon completion.
