Duties & Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical support to Centre staff and resolve IT-related issues.
Maintain IT systems, platforms and equipment used for data collection and project implementation.
Support procurement, setup, inventory management and maintenance of IT equipment.
Liaise with vendors on system support, survey platforms, website maintenance and IT services.
Support website updates, database maintenance, data storage, data security and server matters.
Assist in IT project implementation including system upgrades, data migration and web application testing.
Maintain procedures, guidelines and documentation for data management and IT security.
Provide technical support for research projects, events and meetings as needed.

Diploma or higher qualification, preferably Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
Relevant work experience in IT support, system maintenance, web support, database management or related areas.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, web applications and database systems.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to provide timely technical support.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to explain technical matters to non-technical users.
Responsible, detail-minded and service-oriented attitude with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Full-time, temporary, up to one year (renewable subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability), with University contribution to retirement benefits scheme.
