Duties & Responsibilities

Formulate and implement health, safety, sustainability, and environmental guidelines, policies, and management systems aligned with university and governmental requirements.
Monitor and evaluate health and safety performance through risk assessments, inspections, training programs, and emergency drills.
Conduct surprise inspections of on-site contractors and work staff to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
Carry out sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction programs to engage stakeholders and promote environmental responsibility.
Prepare regular reports for management review with insights and recommendations for effective implementation of standards.
Act as officer-in-charge during emergencies, supervising teams, coordinating remedial actions, and conducting post-incident investigations.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, sustainability, environmental science, environmental management, occupational health and safety, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience implementing and managing health and safety management systems, preferably in educational or facility management settings.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.
Membership in a relevant professional institution preferred; registered Safety Officer status with Labour Department advantageous.
