Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct primarily computational/dry-lab research closely collaborating with the wet-lab team.
- Independently lead research projects on virus-host interaction, pathogenic determinants, and virus evolution.
- Write manuscripts and assist in grant applications.
- Co-supervise junior researchers and graduate students.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a Ph.D. in Virology, Immunology, Microbiology, Pathogen Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Demonstrate responsibility, self-motivation, attention to detail, and strong English proficiency.
- Possess a strong publication record demonstrating bioinformatic platform expertise in life science research.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language (R, Python, C, or C++).
- Have strong expertise in at least one thematic area: multi-omics/single-cell analysis, structural bioinformatics/biophysical modeling, AI/deep learning, or genomics/bioinformatics.
- Possess hybrid background combining computational skills with molecular/virology experience (preferred but not required).
Appointment
- Full-time — Contract for two to three years with possibility of renewal and promotion subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
