Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct primarily computational research in close collaboration with wet-lab team members.
- Independently lead research projects on virus-host interactions, pathogenic determinants, and viral evolution.
- Write manuscripts and assist in grant applications.
- Co-supervise junior researchers and graduate students.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a Ph.D. in Virology, Immunology, Microbiology, Pathogen Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Demonstrate strong publication record using bioinformatic platforms in life science research.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language (R, Python, C, or C++).
- Have strong expertise in multi-omics analysis, structural bioinformatics, AI/deep learning, or genomics/bioinformatics.
- Be responsible, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and have strong command of English.
- Possess hybrid computational and molecular/virology experience (encouraged but not required).
Appointment
- Full-time — Contract for 2–3 years with possibility of renewal and promotion subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
