Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct primarily computational research on virus-host interactions, pathogenic determinants, and virus evolution.
- Collaborate with wet-lab team members to address key research questions.
- Independently lead research projects and write manuscripts for publication.
- Assist with grant applications and co-supervise junior researchers and graduate students.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a Ph.D. in Virology, Immunology, Microbiology, Pathogen Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Demonstrate strong publication record with expertise in multi-omics and single-cell/spatial transcriptomics analysis.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language (R, Python, C, or C++).
- Possess strong command of English and demonstrate responsibility, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
- Have hybrid background combining computational skills with molecular/virology experience (preferred but not required).
Appointment
- Full-time contract — two to three years, with possibility of renewal and promotion subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
