Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analyses on socio-economic inequality.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in high-impact academic journals.
- Present research findings at research institutions and conferences.
- Assist team leaders with project management tasks and centre operations.
- Contribute to the centre's strategic planning and daily activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD degree in economics or related discipline.
- Specialisation in labour economics, trade, development, or political economy.
- Substantial experience working with large-scale datasets including unstructured data.
- Expertise in web crawling, large language models, and text analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of causal inference methods.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; Chinese language skills advantageous.
Appointment
- One to three-year temporary contract, renewable subject to funding and performance.
