Duties & Responsibilities
- Work on material science and surface science projects using scanning tunnelling microscopy.
- Design and refine research instruments.
- Coordinate data collection and analysis.
- Support the organization of dissemination events.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and manuscripts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Physics or a related discipline.
- Strong background or experience in 2D materials, carbon nanotubes, scanning tunnelling microscopy/spectroscopy, or molecular beam epitaxy.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on a tight schedule to meet project deadlines.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working independently and in a team.
Appointment
- Temporary, 1-year position with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
