Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research on language acquisition using computational approaches and generative AI within first language acquisition theories.
- Develop new courses in computational approaches to language and teach existing language acquisition courses.
- Supervise undergraduate, MA, MPhil, and PhD student projects and theses.
- Seek external funding to support research in areas of expertise.
- Undertake administrative duties within the department and faculty.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD degree in linguistics or a related field.
- Record of excellence in interdisciplinary research commensurate with rank and experience.
- Strong commitment to effective teaching.
- Proficiency in English as the primary medium of instruction.
Appointment
- Contract basis for up to three years initially, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation.
