Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct world-class research in Global Iberian Empires with comparative and global scope.
- Teach broad surveys in Latin American history and other undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Secure competitive research funding and maintain strong research output.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate theses.
- Contribute to departmental leadership and academic administration.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a Ph.D. in History.
- Demonstrate strong research profile specializing in early modern Iberian empires (1450-1800).
- Show commitment to innovative, research-led teaching.
- Preferably have research engaging with slavery, gender studies, indigenous studies, or maritime East Asia.
Appointment
- Full-time tenure-track or tenured position; Assistant Professor appointments made on three-year fixed-term contracts with possibility of renewal and tenure consideration.
