Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct tissue culture and quality control of iPSC and neuronal/glial differentiation.
- Run differentiation and phenotyping assays including immunocytochemistry, imaging, western blot, and RT-qPCR.
- Create quality assured banks of iPSC for use in various projects.
- Record all work in a laboratory notebook.
- Maintain laboratory operations including ordering supplies and general upkeep.
- Organize and cryopreserve processed samples in liquid nitrogen tank.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, neurobiology or related field.
- Experience in cell culture is preferred.
- Experience in iPSC is a plus.
- Past research experience in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, or neuroscience at undergraduate level or beyond is preferred.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
- Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
