Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing new vaccines against emerging and re-emerging zoonotic viruses.
- Gain mechanistic insights into virus-host interactions through research.
- Assist with ongoing laboratory projects and general lab management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in molecular biology, biomedical science, biochemistry, virology, immunology, or related field.
- At least two years of hands-on wet-lab experience with molecular biology and tissue culture techniques.
- Proficiency in molecular cloning, PCR, western blot, and standard molecular biology techniques.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese with strong academic writing ability in English.
- Prior experience in animal work, viral propagation, computational analysis, or vaccine/drug development is advantageous.
Appointment
- Full-time — one-year temporary contract with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
