Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead a research team to conduct comprehensive data analysis across diverse genomic, metagenomic, and ecological surveillance datasets.
- Spearhead the development of analysis pipelines for bioinformatic data processing.
- Conduct occasional off-campus and outside office hours work as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics or related disciplines with solid foundation in biological science and computer science.
- Strong background in virology research with expertise in virus transmission, phylogenetic analysis, and genomic sequence embedding.
- Proven experience studying pathogen emergence at human-animal interface and advanced bioinformatic data analysis involving microbiome and metagenomics.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Highly logical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

- One to three-year temporary term contract (renewable subject to funding and performance).
