Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure minimal downtime.
Enforce lab safety, policies, regulatory compliance, and access protocols.
Administer fee-for-service schemes, procure and manage chemicals and consumables, and track equipment wear.
Prepare administrative, usage, and statistical reports and documents.
Manage training schedules, instrument bookings, and user enquiries.
Design and deliver instrument training and practical workshops for users.
Provide technical consultations on experimental design, sample preparation, and data interpretation.
Offer hands-on support and technical assistance during equipment operation.
Support research, collaborative, and consultancy projects with technical expertise and facility planning.
Organise promotional campaigns, seminars, and engagement events to increase facility utilisation.

Hold a recognised degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline.
Possess at least three years of relevant experience with solid hands-on instrument operation skills.
PhD preferred; Master's or Bachelor's degree with substantial technical experience acceptable.
Lab facility management experience in higher education or technical specialist role with instrument manufacturers is advantageous.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English and Chinese.
Show exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and strong data and safety compliance skills.
Display strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster interdisciplinary collaborations.
Proficiently manage and analyse operational data using effective presentation tools.
Be proactive, reliable, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
