Senior Information Technology Manager (System Modernisation and Cloud Migration)

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and oversee strategic initiatives in IT system modernisation and cloud migration.
Manage the phased modernisation and migration of mobile, web, and identity management applications.
Champion continuous service improvement and innovation across IT systems.
Provide expert guidance on system architecture, modernisation strategies, and emerging technologies.
Manage project planning, execution, and governance to ensure timely delivery.
Supervise internal teams and external consultants from system integrators.
Engage with business users to gather requirements and translate them into development priorities.
Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
Identify, assess, and manage vendors and consultants, including contract negotiation.
Monitor system performance metrics to identify optimisation opportunities.

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related discipline.
At least 10 years of experience in IT system modernisation and cloud migration.
Demonstrated team leadership experience with cross-functional and external teams.
Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
PMP certification is advantageous.
Knowledge of IT systems relevant to tertiary education environments is desirable.
Experience with relational database management systems such as Azure/Microsoft SQL Server.
Ability to translate strategic vision into practical plans and measurable outcomes.
