Duties & Responsibilities

Lead teaching, research, clinical service, and administration in breast surgery at the highest standards.
Foster academic collaboration within and outside the Faculty and University.
Pursue new strategic directions for departmental, Faculty, and University development.
Assist in developing the HKU-Shenzhen Hospital and may be required to travel to Shenzhen.

Possess a specialist qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong.
Hold a Specialty Fellowship in Surgery from The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong or equivalent, plus relevant higher academic qualifications (MD, MS, PhD).
Demonstrate clinical excellence and seniority in breast surgery.
Show a distinguished record of high-quality, impactful research with publications and competitive grants.
Possess international recognition for scholarship and professional expertise.
Demonstrate excellence in teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, and supervision at all levels.
Preferably have administrative leadership and management experience in universities or healthcare settings.
Be fluent in Cantonese, Putonghua, and English for direct patient communication.

Full-time, four-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure; exceptionally outstanding candidates may be considered for tenure-track appointment.
