Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead teaching, research, and clinical activities to maintain highest quality standards across the department.
- Conduct high-quality impactful research in basic science, translational, and/or clinical areas.
- Promote academic collaboration within and outside the Faculty and University.
- Explore new strategic directions for departmental development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold specialist registration with the Medical Council of Hong Kong or be eligible for the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Certification.
- Possess relevant higher academic qualifications such as MD, MS, or PhD.
- Demonstrate distinguished and sustained record of high-quality impactful research.
- Achieve international recognition for scholarship and professional expertise.
- Show outstanding excellence in teaching, learning, knowledge exchange, and administration.
- Preference given to those with administrative leadership and management experience in universities or healthcare settings.
Appointment
- Full-time contract — four-year fixed-term basis with possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before expiry of second four-year contract; exceptionally outstanding candidates may be considered for tenure-track appointment.
