Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and test theory-driven approaches to understanding and modifying health-risk behaviours.
  • Conduct independent and collaborative scholarly research and publish in high-impact journals.
  • Attract competitive grants to maintain active research programmes.
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervise research postgraduate students.
  • Perform administrative duties within the School.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree or equivalent in health/clinical psychology or related discipline with focus on health risk perception, cognition, and behaviour change.
  • Prior research experience addressing psychological, social, and contextual barriers to healthier lifestyle adoption.
  • Strong track record of high-quality research demonstrated through publications and external grants.
  • International recognition with ability to work across disciplines on new research initiatives.
  • Strong commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Appointment

  • Full-time — three-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before expiry of second three-year contract; exceptionally outstanding candidates may be considered for tenure-track appointment.
