Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in urban studies, including critical and comparative studies of cities and urbanization.
- Supervise student-led research through innovative, experiential, and field-based teaching methods.
- Conduct high-quality independent research with strong international impact.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on relevant research projects.
- Foster engagement and collaboration with professional institutions, public agencies, and industry partners.
- Undertake administrative service for the department.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a doctoral degree.
- Possess a strong academic background in urban studies, urban planning, human geography, or related fields.
- Demonstrate outstanding research and scholarly achievement commensurate with career stage.
- Professional qualifications or membership in relevant bodies (RTPI, RICS, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Teaching experience in relevant fields or expertise in artificial intelligence is advantageous.
Appointment
- Full-time, up to 3-year contract initially (may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation)
