Duties & Responsibilities

Design and maintain shared infrastructure for ethical collection, storage, processing, documentation, annotation and analysis of large-scale platform data.
Develop reproducible pipelines for multilingual text, image, audio, video, metadata and interaction networks with quality control and privacy protection.
Develop multimodal machine learning and natural language processing methods that integrate theory-guided features with learned representations.
Apply network analysis and computational social science methods.
Collaborate on annotation design, error analysis, fairness audits, and open research outputs including publications and grant development.

Doctorate in computer science, data science, computational social science, information science, computational communication or closely related field.
Strong programming and data engineering skills in Python with experience in machine learning workflows and reproducible research.
Demonstrated expertise in at least two of: natural language processing, multimodal machine learning, computational social science, social network analysis, or graph analysis.
Evidence of independence, careful data stewardship, collaborative working and ability to deliver reliable research infrastructure on agreed timelines.
