Duties & Responsibilities
- Work on a Research Impact Fund project investigating genomics, bioinformatics, ecology/zoology or related big-data analyses.
- Collaborate with postgraduate students and research staff.
- Assist in writing academic reports, manuscripts, and research grant proposals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD degree (for Postdoctoral Fellow) or Master's degree with 4+ years post-qualification experience in genomics, bioinformatics, ecology/zoology or related fields.
- Solid experience in genomics, bioinformatics, ecology/zoology or big-data analyses techniques.
- High motivation and commitment to scientific research.
- Good knowledge of research data management.
- Bachelor's degree required for Research Assistant positions.
- Reliable, able to work independently, with good interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics analysis advantageous.
- Prior research experience and computer database management skills preferred for Research Assistants.
Appointment
- One-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement
