Duties & Responsibilities

Handle, rear, and maintain coral early life stages in laboratory and field nursery settings.
Assist in designing and implementing coral resilience experiments including selective breeding, microbiome manipulation, and cryopreservation.
Plan and conduct marine fieldwork, including SCUBA diving surveys, spawning observations, and sample collection.
Perform laboratory analyses, manage experimental setups, and assist with data entry and statistical analysis.
Manage laboratory logistics, equipment maintenance, and procurement.
Contribute to generating scientific outputs from research activities.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
Practical experience with selective breeding, microbiome/symbiont manipulation, or cryopreservation is highly preferred.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in handling and rearing coral early life stages is highly preferred.
Previous marine fieldwork experience and valid SCUBA diving certification (PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent) are highly preferred.
