Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain current knowledge of information security practices and apply it to the Security Champions Program.
Guide security champions in identifying and addressing security issues throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
Identify potential security vulnerabilities in internal applications using threat modelling techniques.
Conduct security testing including SAST, DAST, and Software Component Analysis.
Ensure applications comply with internal standards, data governance frameworks, and personal data protection regulations.
Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and personal data protection impact assessments.
Identify, track, and predict cyber threats to the university's digital assets.
Analyze cyber threat data to develop detection rules based on threat actor tactics and procedures.
Triage security alerts, investigate security incidents, and coordinate response efforts.
Promote security awareness among students, staff, and IT teams.
Operate security tools including Vulnerability Management and Attack Surface Management systems.
