Duties & Responsibilities

Support epidemiological research on infectious disease surveillance and pandemic preparedness in collaboration with the Research Scientist.
Design, implement and monitor epidemiological studies related to infectious diseases and pandemic preparedness.
Manage and analyze epidemiological datasets to support research objectives.
Develop research protocols, data collection tools, and ethics applications for studies.
Prepare research reports, manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, and presentations for scientific meetings.
Support capacity-building activities and knowledge translation efforts in low- and middle-income countries, including regular international travel to field sites in Africa and Asia.

Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in epidemiological research, preferably in infectious diseases, vaccines, pandemic preparedness or antimicrobial resistance.
Strong quantitative skills and experience with statistical software such as R, SAS, or Stata.
Ability to manage and analyze large epidemiological datasets.
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Familiarity with epidemiological study design and implementation is highly desirable; prior experience in global health, international organizations, or low- and middle-income country settings is preferred; PhD in a relevant discipline is an advantage but not required.

One-year temporary or two-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal subject to funding and performance.
