Duties & Responsibilities

Liaise with research participants and stakeholders to implement projects.
Collect, organize, and manage multimodal data including video, audio, screen recordings, and surveys.
Conduct multimodal analysis and annotation of video and audio data including speech, gesture, and gaze.
Support linguistic analysis of video data in English and/or Mandarin Chinese.
Assist with mixed-methods data analysis of student-AI interaction and learning outcomes.
Conduct or support interviews, transcription, coding, and qualitative analysis.
Support literature reviews, research meetings, and maintain confidential research records.

Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, English Language Studies, Chinese Linguistics, Communication, or related field.
Training in analysis of spoken language, gesture, prosody, discourse-pragmatics, or multimodal interaction.
Strong attention to detail and rigorous approach to research work.
Sense of responsibility, reliability, and research ethics.
Good communication and organisational skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Enthusiasm for research in GenAI-supported language learning and multimodal interaction.
