Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct internationally excellent research, publish findings, and secure research funding.
- Teach and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, including supervising research projects.
- Develop innovative, discovery-enriched curricula.
- Contribute to departmental and university intellectual life.
- Provide academic leadership appropriate to rank and experience.
- Engage in service to the department, university, and profession, mentoring junior faculty as appropriate.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a doctorate in English Applied Linguistics or related field by appointment.
- Demonstrate ability to build a world-class research programme aligned with strategic research areas.
- Show commitment to education and student mentorship.
- For Professor level: possess distinguished record of teaching, administration, and research with outstanding scholarly contributions.
- Expertise in one of three focus areas: Professional/Healthcare Communication/Educational Linguistics/Digital Technologies; TESOL/English for Specific Purposes/Language and Literacy Education; or Corporate/Professional/Health Communication.
