Tenure-track Assistant Professor in International Governance of Frontier Technologies in the School of Governance and Policy

Duties & Responsibilities

Teach postgraduate courses in international relations, global governance, and/or public policy.
Conduct rigorous empirical research on governance, law, and geopolitics of frontier technologies.
Contribute to research and knowledge exchange activities.
Develop postgraduate programmes and assume service and administrative responsibilities as appropriate.

Hold a Ph.D. in economics, public policy, politics, or closely related field (or JD in international/administrative law).
Demonstrate expertise in comparative design, governance, and implementation of AI or other frontier technologies.
Have teaching and research experience in areas such as algorithmic threats, accountability, international legal risk, or conflict resolution.
Show proven track record or strong potential for research excellence, scholarly publications, and securing competitive external funding.

Full-time; three-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before expiry of a second three-year term.
