Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research addressing scientific, technological, and societal challenges in materials science and related fields.
- Educate and mentor students through rigorous interdisciplinary teaching and research experiences at BSc, MSc, MPhil, and PhD levels.
- Develop strong, independent, and externally funded research programs.
- Translate fundamental discoveries into innovative technologies and commercial applications.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across materials science, engineering, artificial intelligence, and related disciplines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a PhD in materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, or a closely related engineering field.
- Demonstrate potential to develop independent and innovative research programs.
- Show ability to teach effectively in materials science and engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Research interests should align with engineering materials for sustainability or AI-empowered materials synthesis and discovery.
