Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research addressing scientific, technological, and societal challenges in materials science and engineering.
- Teach rigorous, interdisciplinary courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in materials science and engineering.
- Mentor students and researchers in innovation and translate fundamental discoveries into commercial applications.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across materials science, engineering, AI, and data science within and outside the university.
- Contribute to Department service and participate in curriculum development and academic program administration.
Requirements & Qualifications
- PhD in materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, or a closely related engineering field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong, independent, and innovative externally funded research programs.
- Effective teaching capability in materials science and engineering courses at all academic levels.
- Research interests in engineering materials for sustainability or AI-empowered materials synthesis and discovery preferred.
Appointment
- Full-time, tenure-track positions at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor rank.
